About

Kornelija (Korn-eel-eeyuh)
Kornelija is a clothing designer who creates unique, hand-painted one-of-one pieces by upcycling secondhand garments. Her mission is to shift consumer behavior in a world where everything feels disposable, encouraging people to buy less and cherish more.
Her passion for sustainability was sparked while studying at UC Berkeley and deepened during a study abroad experience in Chile, where she witnessed the devastating impact of clothing waste in landfills firsthand.
Through her work, Kornelija not only upcycles clothes but also inspires others to rethink their relationship with fashion. She hosts hands-on workshops and teaches people online how to paint, upcycle, and repair garments that might otherwise be thrown away. By transforming clothes into art, she helps people build a deeper connection with what they wear—promoting longevity over fast fashion.
In addition to fashion, Kornelija is a mixed media artist specializing in painting, motion graphics, and graphic design. Her work is deeply influenced by her environment—growing up surfing and spending time by the ocean and in nature. She combines her love for sustainability with her passion for creativity, using art as a tool to advocate for change.
